North of Delta Off-Stream Storage (NODOS) Project Benefits Study

Published 25 April 2016 | By Energy Exemplar

The economic viability study of the proposed North-of-Delta Off-Stream storage (NODOS) pump storage project was originally completed by the United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) and the California Department of Water Resources (CDWR) in early 2013. This document summarizes an update to that study performed for USBR, by Energy Exemplar (EE) and Pinnacle Consulting (Pinnacle), consulting firms specializing in the evaluation of power generation assets in California and in the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) system, which includes the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, the northern portion of Baja California, Mexico, and all or portions of 14 Western states in the United States including California.
